About me

Hi, I'm Cat.

Catherine Withers, founder of Go Forth Digital

I'm the founder of Go Forth Digital. I recently moved to the Gold Coast and I'm introducing myself to churches and Christian organisations.

I've spent the last 10 years working in B2B sales and marketing in Melbourne. Today I specialise in digital growth and strategy for allied health businesses: getting them found on Google and in AI search, building websites people can act on, and setting up the follow-up that brings people back.

I'd love to put those same skills to use helping churches reach their local communities and connect with more people.

  • Ten years in B2B sales and growth, managing accounts with Lindt, Converse, Dr Oetker and Bunnings.
  • Co-owned and ran a gym, including the P&L, the marketing and the membership sales.
  • Five years building websites, booking flows and portals for health and wellness businesses.

See what a newcomer sees.

Before you spend anything, I will look your church up the way a new family would, and send you a one page summary of what I find.

What is in your visibility check

  • What Google showsThe listing someone sees when they search for a church in your area, and whether your service times are right.
  • What AI assistants sayWhat ChatGPT answers when someone asks it for a church near you.
  • Where your details disagreeService times, address, phone and links across your website, Google and local directories.
  • How your reviews compareYour Google review count next to other churches nearby.
  • Whether Google Ad Grants is open to youA first look at your eligibility for free Google Search advertising credit.
  • The two or three things I would fix firstIncluding the ones you can do yourselves for nothing.

How I can help

Six ways to help more people find your church, walk through the door and stay connected. Start with one, or put a few together.

  1. Get found locally

When someone new to the area searches for a church nearby, or asks ChatGPT, yours should come up with the right service times, address and photos. I'll improve your website, Google Business Profile (Google Maps) and local SEO so you show up in Google Search and AI search tools.

  2. Welcome newcomers

Most people check your website before they ever walk through the door. I'll make sure visitors can find service times, parking, kids' programs and what to expect, then see an easy next step.

  3. Help people get connected

Simple welcome emails and follow-up for new visitors, so everyone who fills in a connect card hears from you that week. Built on the tools you already use where possible.

  4. Share your teaching

Publish sermons on YouTube or your website, and turn each one into short clips, notes and posts people can find and share during the week.

  5. Community outreach and growth strategy

Practical ways to reach more people, from community events and Christmas services to online events and other outreach. A plan that fits your people, your calendar and your budget.

  6. Social media strategy

Plan and create posts to share updates, promote events and reach more people, on a schedule your staff or volunteers can keep up with.

Not sure where to start? Most churches begin with one of the two below.

Keeping it looked after

$297a month, cancel any time

Included with both options above, starting the month after launch. Your online presence should not depend on finding a volunteer with a spare Saturday every time something changes.

  • Your Google Business Profile kept current, with regular posts and fresh photos
  • Reviews watched and replied to, plus a quarterly prompt to help you grow them
  • Service times and visitor information checked across Google, your website and local directories
  • Small content updates whenever you need them
  • A one page monthly summary: how many people searched for you, called, asked for directions or got in touch

Hosting, backups and security updates are included for sites I build or look after. Premium plugins and other third party costs are named in your proposal. Larger changes and new projects are quoted separately.

Stay Found: Social, $497 a month

Everything above, plus eight scheduled Facebook and Instagram posts each month with captions and graphics. Built from a content pack your church sends through each quarter.

Everything else on this page (sermons online, welcome emails, outreach and Christmas planning) I quote once we have talked about what you need. All prices are in Australian dollars.

Could your church access Google Ad Grants?

Google gives eligible not for profit organisations up to AU$13,000 a month of Google Search advertising credit.

I check your eligibility and review your website against Google's current requirements as part of either setup above, so you know where you stand before you decide anything.

If your church qualifies and you would like the campaigns built and looked after, I scope and quote that separately, so you can see exactly what is included before you commit.

Eligibility depends on your organisation's legal status and Google's current requirements. Approval is not guaranteed, and the grant is advertising credit rather than cash, so it only helps if the campaigns are set up and kept compliant.

If you would rather check for yourself first, I have written up who qualifies for Google Ad Grants in Australia, including the two minute check and why the rules rule out most churches.

Christmas

Christmas is coming. Get ready for visitors now.

For most churches, Christmas brings more first-time visitors than any other time of year. The ones who come back in January are usually the ones who felt welcome and knew what was next.

Read the full Christmas checklist, with what to do six, four and two weeks out, and what to do in the week afterwards.

What I can set up before Christmas

  • A Christmas page to shareOne link with service times, parking, kids' programs and what to expect.

Questions churches ask

We're a small church. Is this for us?

Yes. Most churches in Australia are small, and a few changes go a long way: an up-to-date Google listing, a website that shows service times clearly and a welcome email for new visitors. We can start there and add more when you're ready.

How much does it cost?

Get Found is $897 once plus $297 a month. A new website is $2,897 once plus $297 a month. Anything else on this page I quote after a chat. Reduced rates for churches are already in those prices.

Do we have to take the monthly care plan?

It is how your Google listing stays current and your service times stay right, which is where most of the value sits. It starts the month after launch, it is month to month, and you can cancel any time.

Do we need a whole new website?

Usually not. If your current site can be improved, Get Found is the cheaper and quicker option. If the foundations are no longer workable, I will tell you why and let you decide.

Our volunteers already look after the website and socials. Can you work with them?

Yes. I can work alongside them and set up templates, a posting plan or an easier way to get sermons online, then show them how to run it. The aim is to make their job easier, not replace them.

Who owns the website and accounts?

Your church does. Every website, account, login and piece of content I set up belongs to you. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.

Do you only work with churches on the Gold Coast?

No. I'm based on the Gold Coast and work with churches and Christian organisations across Australia. Most of the work happens over email and video calls, and I'm happy to meet in person around South East Queensland.

What do you need from us to get started?

A short chat about your church, what you'd like to achieve and what you've tried so far. Logins and access can wait until we've agreed what to work on.

Is there anything your church could use a hand with?

Tell me a little about your church and what you'd like help with. I'll reply within one working day.
