Get found in AI answers: AI visibility for health, wellness and fitness businesses
Named in the answer.
AI visibility, also called AI search optimisation, GEO or AEO, is the work that gets your business named when people ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI Mode, Gemini or Perplexity who to book. Go Forth Digital does it for Australian allied health practices, wellness and recovery centres and fitness studios: consistent business details, pages that answer real questions, structured data and outside mentions, with the questions your clients ask checked every month.
One short form. We reply within one working day with next steps and a quote range.
Go Forth Digital is run by a founder with ten years in B2B sales and growth, who has co-owned a gym and carried its P&L, and spent five years building websites and systems for health and wellness businesses.
What does AI search optimisation include?
AI tools recommend businesses they can clearly identify, that answer the questions people ask, and that other trusted sources back up. The work, in the order we do it:
- Business details, made consistent. One name, address, set of services and hours across your website, Google Business Profile, directories, booking platform listings and socials. Mixed details leave AI tools unsure which business is which.
- Pages that answer real questions. Service pages that answer the four to six questions clients ask before they book, one plain paragraph each, in their words: what it is, who it’s for, what it costs, how to book.
- Structured data. Schema markup for your business, services, team and FAQs, matching what the page says word for word, so search engines and AI tools read it without guessing.
- Google Business Profile. Categories, services, hours, photos and questions kept complete. Google’s AI answers draw on it as well as Maps.
- Outside mentions. Reviews, directories, local media, partner sites and industry listings that confirm what your site says. AI tools trust a business other sources vouch for.
- Monthly tracking. A fixed set of questions your clients ask, run every month across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, with a record of who gets named.
Why does AI visibility matter now?
Because more of your clients ask AI before they search, and the answer names two or three businesses, not ten.
More than 70% of Australian online searchers use AI somewhere in their search, but only 39% trust what it says on its own (YouGov via ChannelNews, July 2026). So people ask AI for a shortlist, then check the website and reviews before they book. Google rolled out AI Mode in Australia in October 2025 (Google Australia), which puts the same kind of answer at the top of Google itself.
If your business isn’t named, someone else gets that shortlist spot. Try it now: ask ChatGPT who you should book for your service in your suburb.
How does it work for my type of business?
People ask AI in full sentences, and each type of business gets asked different things.
- Allied health practices People ask about conditions and funding, not job titles: “physio for a running injury near Burleigh”, “psychologist with telehealth on a mental health care plan”, “speech pathologist for a two-year-old who isn’t talking”. We build pages that answer those questions plainly, within Ahpra’s advertising rules.
- Wellness and recovery centres People ask “where can I do sauna and ice bath near me”, “contrast therapy open before 6am” or “recovery studio with private rooms”. AI tools need your sessions, prices, hours and booking link stated clearly, and reviews that mention what you offer.
- Fitness studios People ask “beginner reformer pilates near Newstead”, “yoga studio with an intro offer” or “boxing classes for women”. We make your class types, levels, intro offers and timetable easy for AI tools to read and quote.
Is AI visibility the same as SEO?
No. SEO gets you a link on Google. AI visibility gets you named in the answer.
They share foundations: a fast site, clear pages, a complete Google Business Profile and consistent details. Then they split. SEO works on where you rank for a search. AI visibility works on whether an AI tool can identify your business, trust it and quote it. We do both and report them separately, because they bring different enquiries. More on SEO for health and wellness businesses.
It isn’t advertising either. ChatGPT now shows labelled ads on its free plans in Australia, and OpenAI says ads don’t influence the answers (TechWyse, April 2026). Being named in the answer itself can’t be bought. It’s earned, and you can check it.
How do you measure AI visibility?
Every month: the same questions, the same AI tools, and a straight answer on whether you were named.
We agree 20 to 30 questions with you at the start, phrased the way your clients ask them, with more for several locations or a broader campaign. Each month we run them across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, and report how many named you, who was named instead, and what changed. You see the questions and the answers, not a made-up score. Enquiries and bookings sit beside it, because being named is the early signal and bookings are the scoreboard.
Is AI visibility right for your business?
Good fit if
- You have room for more clients and want the shortlist spot
- You offer specific services people ask about by name: a condition, a class type, a session
- You’re happy to publish plain answers on prices, funding and how to book
Not the right fit if
- You’re fully booked with a waitlist. More enquiries won’t help yet; automation might.
- You want a guarantee of being named for a broad question like “physio Brisbane”. Nobody can promise that.
- Your Google Business Profile isn’t set up yet. Start with our free guide.
How it runs
- 1. Tell us what you need One short form. We reply within one working day.
- 2. We check where you stand The questions your clients ask, who’s named today, and your business details everywhere. You get a written scope and quote.
- 3. We fix the foundations Details, structured data, Google Business Profile and the first pages, usually in the first four to six weeks.
- 4. We track and build monthly New answers, outside mentions and the monthly report.
What comes with every service
- Catherine Withers, the founder, does the work, from the first conversation to the finished job. No hand-offs, no juniors.
- Your scope and quote in writing before anything starts.
- You own everything we build: the site, the content, the ad accounts and the data.
- One monthly report on enquiries, bookings and clients back, with the visibility behind them. It runs on KYM AI, an independent platform, so the numbers don’t come from us marking our own homework.
- Advertising rules built in: Ahpra rules for registered practitioners, consumer law for everyone.
- Set up in the systems you already run: Cliniko, Halaxy, Splose, Nookal, Mindbody, GymMaster and more.
- No long lock-ins. Ongoing work runs on a three-month initial term, then month to month.
Frequently asked questions
How much does AI search optimisation cost in Australia?
It depends on scope: how many services and locations you have, how much needs fixing, and how competitive your area is. Pricing is quote-based, and as a guide, all ex GST: a one-off AI visibility audit ranges from $1,000 to $3,500. Ongoing work ranges from $800 to $2,000 a month for focused work on your details, key pages and monthly tracking, and from $2,000 to $6,000 a month for broader campaigns with regular new content and outside mentions. If you run it alongside our SEO, the shared foundations are done once and quoted once. More in our guide to marketing costs in Australia.
Can my business show up in ChatGPT?
Yes, when AI tools can clearly identify your business and your pages answer the questions people ask. Ask ChatGPT for a pilates studio or a physio in your suburb and it will name businesses. The ones it names usually have consistent details across their site, Google Business Profile and directories, pages that say plainly what they offer and how to book, and mentions on other trusted sites.
How long does AI visibility take?
The foundations take the first four to six weeks. AI tools pick up changes within weeks, and the first mentions on specific questions usually show within three months. Broad questions take longer because more businesses compete for them. We track from month one, so you see the direction before the volume.
What’s the difference between GEO, AEO and AI visibility?
Mostly names for the same work. Generative engine optimisation (GEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) both mean getting your business into AI-generated answers. We call it AI visibility because that’s the result: being visible, and named, wherever people ask AI who to book.
Do you do SEO as well?
Yes, and most businesses need both. The foundations overlap, so we do them once and report Google rankings and AI mentions separately. See SEO.
Can you guarantee we’ll be named?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. AI answers change with the question, the tool and the person asking. What we can do is fix everything that stops AI tools naming you, track the same questions every month, and show you exactly what moved.
