Get booked: websites for health, wellness and fitness businesses

Visit to booking.

Website design for health and wellness businesses should do one thing above all: turn someone who’s ready to book into a booking, on their phone, without a phone call. Go Forth Digital builds fast, clear websites for Australian allied health practices, wellness and recovery centres and fitness studios, with online booking from your system built into the page, in your own accounts. You own the site from day one.

One short form. We reply within one working day with next steps and a quote range.

Go Forth Digital is run by a founder with ten years in B2B sales and growth, who has co-owned a gym and carried its P&L, and spent five years building websites and systems for health and wellness businesses.

What does a clinic or studio website need to do?

Answer the questions people have before they book, then take the booking. Seven things make that happen.

  • A page for each service. Each service, class type or session gets its own page: who it’s for, what happens, what it costs and how to book. Not one page called Services with a list.
  • Prices and how payment works. Fees, packs, memberships, health fund rebates, Medicare referrals or NDIS, in plain words. Clear prices save your front desk the same question twenty times a day.
  • Your people, properly introduced. Who they are, what they focus on, their qualifications or registration, and when they’re available. People book people.
  • Booking built into the page. Cliniko, Halaxy, Splose, Nookal, Zanda, Mindbody, GymMaster or whatever you run, embedded with the right services, staff and locations, so people book without leaving your site.
  • Forms that land in the right place. Intake, referrals, waivers and consent go into your booking system or a secure queue, not a shared inbox.
  • Fast and accessible. Built to Google’s Core Web Vitals thresholds (web.dev) and to WCAG, the accessibility standard the Australian Human Rights Commission points to under the Disability Discrimination Act (AHRC, April 2025).
  • Copy within the rules. For registered practitioners: no testimonials, no outcome promises, and no one called a specialist without specialist registration (Ahpra). For everyone: claims you can back up.

Where do bookings go missing?

Between the visit and the booking, and after hours when nobody answers the phone.

People look for a physio in their lunch break, a pilates class at 9pm and a sauna session on a Sunday morning. If the site says “call us” and the phone goes to voicemail, they book the next name on the list. The leaks we find most often: a booking button that drops people on a confusing third-party page, every appointment or class type shown at once so new clients pick the wrong one, a form that emails one person, and no clear price.

We map where yours leak before we design anything. Some fixes are design. Some are booking system setup and automation, which are part of the same job.

How does it work for my type of business?

Same goal, a booking on a phone. Different pages get you there.

  • Allied health practices Pages by condition and funding (private, health fund, Medicare referrals, NDIS, WorkCover, DVA), clinician profiles that answer GPs and support coordinators, and new-client booking that only shows what a new client can book.
  • Wellness and recovery centres A page for each session and package, the space shown properly, first-visit details (what to bring, how long, what to expect), memberships, gift vouchers and booking from your system on the page.
  • Fitness studios Class types and levels explained for beginners, the timetable live from your booking system, intro offers on the first screen, instructor profiles and membership options that are easy to compare.

Who owns the website?

You do. Domain, hosting, code, content, forms and analytics all sit in accounts in your name.

We build in your accounts and hand over every login at launch. There’s no locked-in platform, no care plan you have to keep paying for the site to keep working, and nothing that breaks if you stop working with us. If you leave, we hand everything over within a week, with documentation.

Is a new website right for your business?

Good fit if

  • People visit your site and leave without booking
  • Your front desk spends the morning returning calls and messages from the night before
  • You’re adding a location, service or class type that needs its own page and booking

Not the right fit if

  • You’re a solo operator with a full diary. Use the free booking page your booking system provides.
  • You want a prettier site with no change to how people book. Same leaks, same diary.

How it runs

  1. 1. Tell us what you need One short form. We reply within one working day.
  2. 2. We review your site and booking flow Where people drop off, what needs a page, what to keep. You get a written scope, quote and timeline.
  3. 3. Two weeks of decisions Services, prices, what new clients can book and bios, settled early so the build doesn’t stall.
  4. 4. Build, test on phones, launch and hand over Most sites take six to eight weeks.

What comes with every service

  • Catherine Withers, the founder, does the work, from the first conversation to the finished job. No hand-offs, no juniors.
  • Your scope and quote in writing before anything starts.
  • You own everything we build: the site, the content, the ad accounts and the data.
  • One monthly report on enquiries, bookings and clients back, with the visibility behind them. It runs on KYM AI, an independent platform, so the numbers don’t come from us marking our own homework.
  • Advertising rules built in: Ahpra rules for registered practitioners, consumer law for everyone.
  • Set up in the systems you already run: Cliniko, Halaxy, Splose, Nookal, Mindbody, GymMaster and more.
  • No long lock-ins. Ongoing work runs on a three-month initial term, then month to month.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost in Australia?

It depends on scope: how many pages and locations, which booking system, and how much copy needs writing. Pricing is quote-based, and as a guide, a Go Forth Digital website ranges from $3,000 to $10,000 ex GST, with booking from your system built into the page. A site built on a proven layout, with your copy and booking set up, sits at $3,000 to $5,000. A custom design sits at $5,000 to $10,000. You get the quote in writing first. More in our guide to marketing costs in Australia.

How long does a new website take?

Six to eight weeks for most clinics and studios. The slow part is rarely the build. It’s the decisions: prices, which services new clients can book, bios. We settle those in the first fortnight so nothing stalls.

Can you fix our current site instead of rebuilding?

Often, yes. If your site is on a platform you own, loads fast enough and the problem is the copy or the booking flow, we fix it and charge for the work, not a rebuild. If it’s on a locked platform, slow, or can’t embed your booking system properly, a rebuild costs less than patching. We’ll tell you which in the first conversation.

Can clients book online without calling?

Yes, for whatever you choose. Most clinics open first appointments and standard follow-ups to online booking and keep assessments or referral-only services behind a short request form. Studios and centres usually open everything, with payment or card details taken at booking. Your booking system enforces the rules: length, staff, location and deposits.

Does our website need to be accessible?

Yes. The Australian Human Rights Commission’s guidelines say the Disability Discrimination Act applies to websites and point to WCAG as the standard (AHRC, April 2025). In practice that means real headings, labelled forms, booking that works with a keyboard, readable contrast and text that’s text, not a picture of it. We build to it from the start rather than adding a widget at the end.

What happens if we stop working with you?

You keep everything, because it was always yours. We remove our access and send the documentation and a short handover note within a week. No exit fee, nothing that expires.
